Ashraf Tilburg

Started leading Suriname sight seeing tours in 2014. In 2017 he accompanied Otte Ottema on a standard 15 day tour and from that time on his interest in birds started to grow. In 2018 he already knew more than 200 bird calls. From 2020 he is regularly monitoring shorebirds at two sites in Suriname. When not leading birding tours , he takes care of transportation for sight seeing tours which also gives him the opportunity to learn the behavior of birds in Suriname better. Ashraf's favorite place to bird is the savanne area.

Ralf Boobo

Born and raised in a maroon village called Pokigron Ralf started working in the tourism industry at a very young age, taking tourist to a river lodge that was run by his brother. In 2015 he noticed a group of tourist that were very interested in birds and that is when his interest in birds started to grow. From that time he started to study the birds he saw during his trip to the river lodge. In 2017 he guided his first birding trip. Ralf's favourite place for bird watching in Suriname is Fredberg.
